Rainbow Waffles Recipe
Sweet waffles in the view of a rainbow – beautiful and delicious dessert for the whole family. To cook them you’ll need a round waffle iron or waffle maker.
- 60 g melted butter
- a pinch of salt
- 340 g flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 30 g of powdered sugar
- 315 ml of milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- cinnamon or nutmeg
- food colours coloring of the rainbow
- bags with zip
- whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
- maple syrup
- waffle iron
Preheat waffle iron to medium temperature.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. In another bowl, whisk the milk and eggs. Stir with a whisk both mixtures, add the melted butter, vanilla and spices. Mix well.
Divide the dough into 5 parts, add to each part of the dye. Mix well. Put the dough in bags, cut the corners.
Oil the waffle iron. Starting from the centre, draw blue circle, then green, yellow, orange and red. Close the waffle iron and cook for about 2-2,5 minutes. Remove the waffle and cut it in half.
Repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve immediately with maple syrup, whipped cream or ice cream.
