Easy Pizza Bites
Pizza bites with pepperoni, sweet peppers, mushrooms, green onions and mozzarella cheese. Perfect appetizers for game day.
- 1 .1/2 cups water
- 3½ – 4 cups flour
- 1 package yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 sweet peppers
- 4 green onions
- 4 oz. mushrooms
- 1 package mozzarella cheese
Add the yeast, sugar and ¼ cup warm water to a small bowl. Let set 5 minutes until yeast gets bubbly.
Add the flour, salt, olive oil, water and yeast to a mixing bowl fitted with a dough hook. Mix until the dough comes together and then beat the dough with the dough hook for about 5 minutes. Remove dough to a oiled bowl and let rise until doubled.
You can also do this dough in a food processor. Add all of the ingredients and pulse until the dough comes together and forms a ball. Remove dough to a oiled bowl and let rise until doubled.
Divide the dough in half. Roll out the dough into a 5 x 12 inch rectangle. Top with the marinara sauce and then the rest of the topping ingredients. Roll the dough lengthwise tightly into a roll.
Cut the dough into just over ½ inch pieces. Put the rolls in a greased mini muffin tin. Cover and let raise until almost doubled, about 15 minutes.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15 – 18 minutes.
