Chicken legs in honey and lemon
- 4 chicken legs
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- half lemon
- 1 clove of garlic
- half a teaspoon of grated ginger
- sprig or a pinch of rosemary
- pinch of salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- approx. tablespoon of butter
- tablespoon of olive oil
Chicken legs wash, clean and place in a saucepan or bowl. Prepare the marinade: Mix honey with the juice of half a lemon, add the grated lemon rind, chopped garlic, ginger, pepper, salt and rosemary. Mix the chicken with the marinade, cover with plastic wrap and leave in the fridge for at least fifteen minutes – the longer, the better.
In a skillet heat the oil and butter, put legs and cook, covered, until golden brown. Then fry it also on the other hand, pour remaining marinade and to cook under a lid for 5 minutes. Add a little water and cook for a further 15 minutes.
Ready chicken legs serve with roasted potatoes… or just experiment! 🙂
